At the end of 2002 EIL.COM opened it's South American buying office. Since then a dedicated team have been sourcing fantastic rarities by all of EIL.COM's most popular artists and unearthing some of the world's most sought-after records! South American releases are typically different with subtle and exclusive changes. Many releases have specially designed sleeves differing from US, European or Japanese editions. Sleeves are commonly printed in Spanish/Portuguese etc. or relevant language. These exclusive 'peculiarities' add to an item's value in collecting circles. The Latin market is ENORMOUS, so many companies with Western artists try harder for a hit. Some of the RAREST items by Latin stars like Shakira or Thalia are South American only. Releases will included bonus tracks such as live recordings from South American concerts. Many artists alter their style to a more latin sound on remixes for this lucrative market. Some even go so far as to re-record hits in Spanish, Portuguese or a hybrid, Span-glish. Releases will be printed in small numbers due to lesser guarantees thus increasing it's rarity. With EIL.COM's dedicated buyers, shipping costs and questionable postal reliability are reduced. With such an amazing array of vinyl, sales awards and promotional memorabilia, there is something for all tastes in our South American collectors store...
